Step away for a whole day away from familial obligations and take time out to make fun memories with fellow SRMC moms at the Bechtel House at Pepperwood.  

The Pepperwood Preserve is run by a private foundation in the Mayacamas Mountains in the coast ranges of California near the towns of Santa Rosa and Healdsburg in Sonoma County.  The preserve undergoes conservation research and also runs educational programs to the public for children and adults. https://www.pepperwoodpreserve.org/bechtelhouse/

This is a Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon event.  The accommodations are basic, so expect to bring your own sleeping bag/sleeping gear.  There are bunk beds and twins, but there is also the option to camp outside.  

The participants will coordinate food and activities, so think about what you can offer to the group.  We could do board games, art activities, morning yoga (can someone lead?), campfire stories and etc.  A guided hike might be available if they can find staffing for an additional $275.  The Dwight Center will be showing a free lecture "Nature is resilient:  Wildflowers and Wildlife one year after the Tubbs fire" with Preserve Ecologist Michelle Halbur.
